We may ask you to send Metalien a copy of your ID for several reasons. Examples include:

⬛ Confirming that the account you are trying to access belongs to you: Your security is of utmost importance to us. We ask for your ID to ensure that no one but you can log into your account.

⬛ Anti-Money Laundering: When you use the assets and trading features in the Metalien platform, we ask for your ID to ensure that the platform complies with the cyber anti-money laundering laws, regulations and systems of various countries and regions.

Another reason users may need to verify their identity is to prevent violations such as fraud, phishing and foreign political influence.

Types of IDs that Metalien accepts

Please only submit the required documents. Submitting more documents than necessary may delay the review process.

Don't digitally conceal ID information

To help us prevent fake IDs and other abuses, we don't accept photos that have been digitally modified to hide information. You can also physically cover any non-essential information on your ID, before you take a photo of the document.

Government IDs

You can send us 1 government ID to confirm your name or regain access to your account. Anything that you send us should contain either:

• Your name and date of birth, or

• Your name and a photo.

Some examples of government IDs we accept include:

• Driver’s license

• National identity card

• Passport

• Birth certificate

Non-Government IDs

We understand that your authentic name may not be represented on an official, government-issued ID, or you may not have access to this type of document. If you can't provide a government ID, you can send us 2 different non-government IDs instead. Keep in mind:

• Anything that you send us must include your name.

• At least 1 of the 2 documents should include your date of birth and/or photo.

• The name on the items that you send must be the same name that you want to show on your profile.

If you've lost access to your account, you may be asked to provide something from the list that also shows a photo or date of birth that matches the details on your Metalien account. This extra precaution helps us ensure that only you have access to your account. Examples of non-government IDs we accept:

• Student card

• Library card

• Refugee card

• Employment verification

• Diploma

• Loyalty card

How to upload an ID to Metalien

Upload an ID

1. With a camera or mobile device, take a close-up photo of your ID in a well-lit room.

2. Save the photo to your mobile device or computer.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions for uploading your ID.

What happens to your ID after you send it to Metalien

After you send us a copy of your ID, it'll be encrypted and stored securely. Your ID won't be visible on your profile, to friends or to other people on Metalien.

To help ensure IDs used for identity confirmation are real, we use both manual review and automated systems. We may also partner with trusted service providers to confirm your identity. This helps detect and prevent risks such as impersonation or ID theft, keeping you and our Facebook community safe.

To help improve our systems for detecting fake IDs and related abuse, we may securely store your ID for up to 1 year.

For security reasons, it's often better to delete this photo from your device's photo gallery after you've completed the ID upload process.

ID rejected by Metalien

Metalien may ask you to submit a picture of your ID to help us confirm that the account you're trying to access belongs to you. Sometimes we're unable to verify your ID if the picture you submit isn't clear or is missing information. When this happens, your ID submission may be rejected.

Why was my ID rejected?

The photo of your ID may be rejected if it's...

• Too blurry

• Too dark or not taken in a well-lit room

• Missing the required information

• A picture of a screenshot or a photo-copied ID

• Not properly visible with all four corners in the frame

What information must be clearly visible?

You can send us 1 government ID to confirm your name or regain access to your account. Anything that you send us should contain either:

• Your name and date of birth, or

• Your name and a photo.

What if I don't have a government ID?

If you don't have a government ID, you can use other documents to confirm your identity on Metalien. When sending a non-government ID, keep in mind that...

• You must send two non-government IDs

• Anything that you send us must include your name.

• At least 1 of the 2 documents should include your date of birth and/or photo.

• The name on the items that you send must be the same name that you want to show on your profile.
